New stretch target

Our bigger target will allow us to get more equipment. As a result more people will be able to access the project. the bigger target will also provide opportunities to bring in external specialist to provide support on other topics, such as managing finances on-line.

N-Gage is a Manchester based charity that gives young people at risk of educational or social exclusion opportunities and skills to achieve their full potential. As well as delivering weekly youth sessions we have just opened a community café, which is open to all ages. Just recently we have been asked to help some older people in our community with some basic IT skills. Our vision is to bring a group of young people (who we currently work with) together with this group. The idea is the young people spend time teaching the group how to navigate the internet and use their tablets/computers in a way that will help them. In return the group of older people can share some of the history of Burnage or maybe help the younger group in a more practical way. Our vision to improve community cohesion, by encouraging intergenerational projects. In addition, young people will learn the value of getting involved in youth social action and acknowledge the wider benefit this has to their community. Now more than ever people will need to rely on using digital equipment to fulfil their basic needs. We want to make sure that no one gets left behind in our local community.
