New stretch target

Music Treehouse is an ongoing programme and so any additional funds raised will continue to support workshops and 1:1 sessions across the year.

Music Treehouse is a weekly music making programme for 60 SEN/D children aged 3- 18 with a wide spectrum of needs.

It includes children who are isolated and struggle with issues around communication and interaction, who have profound Autism, difficulties with Mental and Emotional Health and sensory and physical disabilities. Using music to develop creativity, communication, life-skills, social engagement and confidence, Music Treehouse's team of skilled, specialist practitioners offer a much needed means of interaction and skills development through activities which are accessible, engaging and life-enhancing. Seeing a child's face and the pride they feel when they have the ability to make music is exhilarating and the health benefits cannot be underestimated. The impact on the children's well-being, confidence and self-belief is transformative.

YOUR SUPPORT WILL HELP US TO CONTINUE TO OFFER THIS LIFE-CHANGING       PROGRAMME.

Engagement in the programme can be a vital life-line and so during lockdown we have been offering pre-recorded online sessions but really need to be able to continue our 1:1 online music therapy sessions across the whole summer, to support emotional and traumatic issues of isolation currently being experienced.

“We are the best drummers in the world!”

Music Treehouse is part of a wider, inclusive community programme offering parents respite and the chance to socialise. It offers families techniques and activities to help support and engage their children at home.

When live sessions return, any additional funding will contribute to much-needed assistance with ongoing live workshops and 1:1 music therapy sessions to ensure all participants are able to attend and enjoy the stimulus of creative music making together again.
