We aim to eliminate single-use plastic bottles and encourage people to use refillable drinking bottles and top up from our refill stations.

I am the Community Leader for Plastic Free Eastbourne; also the Coordinator for Refill Eastbourne.
I am a retired Geography teacher so I have been engaged with environmental issues and the growing planetary hazards over the past several decades. The catalyst for campaigning was David Attenborough's Blue Planet 2 series on TV in 2017/18. I responded to this with a weekly Friday beach clean on our seafront. One thing led to another. Now we have hundreds or even thousands of participants.
This is my town. If there is a similar person in every town and village across the Planet, we would all be making an impact. When our town becomes single-use plastic free, we will have reduced the need for oil and gas from being taken out of the ground. This influence will bring about a reduction in global heating. Also, the environment will be improved through the reduction of litter.
We campaign to eliminate all single-use plastics from our town. One successful idea is to spread the provision of REFILL STATIONs across the town. To help, an installer has very recently offered to install these FOR NOTHING. This generous Benefactor has encouraged me to push our work to the next level ~ with YOUR help please.
