I'm joining a crack squad of volunteers from across Aviva who are cycling 500km from York to London to raise month for Alzheimer's Society

Employee vouchers

Aviva employee vouchers are not able to be donated to employee fundraising pages, any vouchers used on this project will be refunded.

The Challenge

A group of Aviva employees will be taking on a gruelling 500km cycle from Aviva York to Aviva London in just 3 days, climbing over 5000m on the way.

Itinerary

  • Day One 170km – Aviva York to Stoke on Trent (via Sheffield Aviva Office) - after Sheffield we hit the Peak District and lots of climbing to make it a tough day 1
  • Day Two 230km – Stoke on Trent to Oxford - the long one...
  • Day Three 100km – Oxford to London (Aviva HQ, 80 Fen) - aiming to arrive in time for lunch!

Funds raised will go to Alzheimer’s Society through Insurance United Against Dementia.

Alzheimer's Society

As a Society, we are made up of people with dementia, carers, trusted experts, campaigners, researchers and clinicians. We are the UK’s largest collective force of people with unparalleled knowledge and over 40 years of experience addressing the biggest challenges facing people living with dementia

We’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future, through;

  • Providing dementia support services such as our support line, online and print information, expert dementia advisers and online community, giving advice and practical guidance for the next steps as people living with dementia navigate the hardest times of their lives
  • Funding dementia research, backing the world’s brightest minds and funding over 600 research projects to find the best ways to get early diagnosis, innovate care and develop targeted treatments
  • Campaign action to hold decision-makers to account, and amplify the voices of everyone living with dementia

With your help we can give vital support to those who need it most, hold decision-makers to account, and fund groundbreaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.

Why we need your support today

Dementia is the biggest health and social challenge of our time. There are currently estimated to be 900,000 people in the UK with dementia. Many are undiagnosed and facing the realities of their condition alone. As a Society, and with the help of our supporters, we’re changing that.

With your help we can give vital support to those who need it most, hold decision-makers to account, and fund groundbreaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.

Together we are help and hope for everyone living with dementia
