How our Project Supports Financial Wellbeing
We are committed to improving financial wellbeing in our community. The renovation of The Bryn Hall will allow us the opportunity to sit in the heart of the community, and, amongst other things, address the dire need for people to be financially stable, and literate. Through initiatives such as providing meals to families, teaching budget-friendly cooking skills, running skills training for young people, offering apprenticeship opportunities with fair wages, or creating affordable spaces for entrepreneurs to explore their potential, we aim to empower individuals to achieve financial stability and independence. This transformation will strengthen our community and create opportunities for growth. The Bryn Hall will also allow specialist organisations to come together and provide holistic support for people facing financial challenges, and will also enable us to reopen as a warm hub offering social interaction, activities, and services whilst reducing the burden so many people face of affording their utility bills. This is something we have done successfully before in a rented space, and would now be able to do on a more permanent basis, supporting more people than ever before.
The Parish Trust
The Parish Trust is a community-centered charity dedicated to addressing the social, educational, and wellness needs of Trethomas and nearby areas. Established to bring life in all its fullness, we focus on providing resources, support, and a strong foundation for our community's growth and development, in particular for youth, children, and families. Over time, we've become a pillar for many, fostering a compassionate, interconnected community where everyone feels valued.
Our Team
Our team comprises of passionate local residents, leaders, and advocates who share a common vision for this project: to uplift Trethomas by providing a space where community can flourish. Our collective experience in charity work and community building positions us well to transform Bryn Hall into a hub that will benefit everyone for years to come.
Our Vision: How We Will Use the Money
Our vision is to transform Bryn Hall into a vibrant community centre addressing critical youth and children's needs, education, wellness, and social engagement. The renovated Bryn Hall will serve as a welcoming, fully accessible space where we can offer diverse programs, from health workshops to youth mentoring, community events, events and activities for children and youth, facilities to hire, and more. The funding we seek will directly support:
- Renovations: Essential structural repairs, safety improvements, and accessibility features, making Bryn Hall inclusive for all, including those with disabilities.
- New Outdoor Space: The space around The Bryn Hall will hopefully be transformed into a haven of peace for recreation, and wellbeing.
The renovation of the Bryn Hall, we hope, will lay the foundation for a stronger, more connected Trethomas, a place where all residents can thrive together.
