As a member of the Yeovil CAP team for the past 10 years, I've been operating as a debt coach for our debt centre; we have seen dozens have their lives transformed by going debt free.
Over the past two years, the team has also been operating a life skills group, which is a friendly group that will give you the confidence and decision-making skills needed to live on a low income. You’ll learn practical money saving techniques, such as cooking on a budget and making money go further.
Over the years we have been operating a money coaching service, which equips you to be confident in better managing your money, via budgeting, and hopefully stop you falling into debt. All three courses are free to anyone.
We are re-envisioning our money coaching team to teach budgeting skills, with brand new resources, which will better equip our community in their use of income and expenditure, aiming to reduce the number falling into debt, and also bringing a better quality of life for families.
The money will be used for the purchase of course resources, including the cost of hiring any premises required, and any expenses incurred by the two volunteer money coaches.
