We are providing activities, meals, hampers, and presents from Santa to individuals and families facing vulnerability during Christmas.

Christmas is often a time when those who are socially isolated or lonely feel particularly low and, with support from local businesses and individuals such as yourselves as well as our fantastic volunteers, we want to make this a happier time for people in our local communities.
Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change (CN4C) is planning our annual Christmas and New Year festivities. We want to bring the joys of Christmas to everyone, no matter what their circumstances, and we invite you to help us in any way that you can. We will be providing support, cheer, and food to our communities - particularly those more vulnerable and in need who may struggle over the festive period.
Winter is traditionally a hard time for many people, and this year is no exception as prices continue to rise and fuel poverty is becoming more evident. Our winter festivities build on the support we offer throughout the year, as our communities face difficulties ranging from mental health, finance, food, unemployment and - most commonly - social isolation.
We will be providing a full sit-down Christmas dinner for individuals in vulnerable circumstances on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day at our base at The Elms in Redruth.
Christmas Day brunch will be served at our base at the One for All Bank, St Austell.
Both hubs will also be holding Christmas Community parties in the week running up to Christmas Day.
Hampers for families and individuals, providing food, presents, and essentials to deal with increased economic pressures will also be available for pick-up on certain days during the festive period. Deliveries can be made to those in the most vulnerable circumstances.
As well as food and gifts we are also planning a variety of drop-in services over the festive period in Redruth and St Austell such as:
as well as other services.
We expect to support more than 600 people in the Camborne, Pool and Redruth, and St Austell areas with practical support and plenty of cheer and goodwill.
We trust that despite these challenging times we can still come together and have some Festive warmth and cheer and a real sense of community togetherness.
We know that our support over Christmas can go a long way, here is some feedback from people who have attended events over the past few years:
‘Everyone involved are angels, I feel very blessed, words can’t explain how lovely this was, bless all of you.’
‘Thank you so much for providing me with my Xmas dinner and company today. It is much appreciated by one who would otherwise have probably stayed in bed all day. Bless you all.’
‘Me and the boys really enjoyed the Christmas party!! Was so grateful for the gifts they were given by Mrs Claus xx.’
‘It was magical for all the children and the presents were amazing than you all for making this so special for the children.’
‘Thank you for all the craft and art clubs over half terms and the holidays and for making everyone welcome’
