Milan is led by a motivated staff team who are passionate and dedicated to go that extra mile to support service users and our community of interest to access support in a timely manner in their time of need.
We have identified how vital it is to reach out to those that are excluded and at risk of social exclusion and slipping the net - we want to support those individuals who have lack of awareness of services due to barriers such as language, stigma and lack of understanding.
Our aim is to ensure we support people to receive their correct entitlements so they are financially supported as well as ensuring people are socially connected with people of their own age and background to share life experiences and support each other which in turn will eliminate isolation, loneliness and a further decline in peoples mental and physical health.
We will provide extended hours of information and advice to ensure that we can support people to claim for the correct welfare entitlements, access adequate housing, travel concessions, hospital discharge packages and much more
We will also deliver a variety of therapeutic and educational activities to motivate people to use our services regularly and be involved in a programme of activities to enhance their self esteem and wellbeing.
Educational activities will be delivered around climate change to ensure that our community of interest have a good understanding of how they can play their part of reducing carbon emissions to save our environment and be role models within our communities to save the planet and reduce carbon footprints by upcycling, recycling, buying less and only what we need, reusing food, car sharing and using more public transport.
