To grow our social enterprise businesses which support young people to work, we will trial new projects to explore new revenue streams.

We're still collecting donations

On the 3rd September 2024 we'd raised £30,015 with 81 supporters in 0 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

 New stretch target

Increased funding will increase our ability to provide experiences for young people that help them grow in confidence and build up skills.   Increased funding means more face to face work can take place with young people over the coming months.

We support young people to work through our social enterprise business Cre8 Facilities and also completing small jobs including gardening, maintenance and skills based work.  All our employment is supported with experienced team leaders, and we love to see our workers grow in confidence and move on to meaningful employment or further education.

Increased funding means we can increase interactions with young people, demand for our support in the community is higher than ever, we offer, emotional support in a caring and nurturing environment.

Who We Are

Cre8 is dedicated to grassroots youth and community work. Our team includes three passionate youth workers who live and work on the Moss Estate, along with project staff and volunteers across Macclesfield. We provide a safe and supportive environment for all our young people.

Our Mission

We aim to deliver impactful youth work through qualified and experienced community youth workers. Our goal is to create a nurturing space where young people can thrive, not just survive.

What We Do

Our programs offer:

  • Education Support: Helping young people who can’t engage with mainstream schools to build skills and return to education.
  • Emotional Support: Offering tailored interventions, including one-on-one mentoring, to help young people develop essential life skills.
  • Volunteering Opportunities: For young people seeking employment but lacking formal qualifications.
  • Paid Supported Employment: Through our social enterprise businesses, offering valuable work experience.
  • Warm Spaces: Safe places where young people can find refuge and support.
  • Essential Services: Addressing the cost of living crisis with initiatives like our food pantry, run by volunteers and supported by local workers.

Investing in Growth

We are investing in activities to grow our social enterprise businesses. By enabling our Enterprise Manager to focus on new development opportunities, we plan to:

  • Expand our vehicle washing business into new markets and reassess our pricing and client base.
  • Pursue new local contracts for small maintenance and gardening services, revitalising these service lines.
  • Enhance our youth work team’s capacity through comprehensive training, enabling us to support more clients effectively and sustainably.

Trialling Innovative Projects

The funding will help us trial innovative projects with young people, such as:

  • Using vehicle washing to increase donations
  • Exploring new and creative income streams through our social enterprises

By investing in skill-building and finding new revenue pathways, we aim to strengthen our organisation’s stability and resilience.

Real Stories of Impact

During half-term, our young leaders supported the community through various Cre8 activities, including:

  • Volunteering: Helping at the Cre8 grocery and café by unloading, sorting, serving, and taking orders.
  • Primary Age Club: Setting up activity tables inside and games outside.
  • Fundraising Car Wash: Organising and running a car wash to raise funds for the CAMAS trip.
