Friends of the Thames is a truly collaborative network, joining communities along the River Thames from source to sea. Aimed at sharing data, events and campaigns we will amplify our voices to help clean up and restore the river and the wildlife that call her home to health.

The FoTT family will always place the rights of the Thames at the heart of everything they do — standing as her voice and advocate.

We aim to reconnect diverse and disconnected communities who don't see the river as part of their lives, and by fostering a deeper appreciation for her environmental significance we hope to change the way we see her and interact with her from managing and manipulating her for our own gain, to care and respect. 

Engaging through campaigns, educational initiatives within clubs and schools, our river guardians scheme, events and communications we hope to raise awareness about the rapid decline of freshwater biodiversity, and the importance of protecting the Thames for future generations.
