Help us make a difference with plogging!

Support our team at the 2024 World Plogging Championship in Genoa, Italy this November! Participation in this exciting event is a collaboration between Planet Earth Games Trust, an award-winning charity dedicated to promoting environmentally sustainable sport, and A Future Without Rubbish, a community interest company recognized for its impactful waste reduction and environmental education efforts.

Both organizations share a fundamental belief: the health of our planet is inextricably linked to our well-being.

Plogging—jogging while picking up litter—perfectly embodies our mission, bringing communities together for collective action and delivering immediate benefits to local environments. It’s a fun and effective way to support community health and environmental sustainability!

Support the team and the delivery of wider plogging programmes that take place in UK communities every month.

Plogging perfectly embodies the values of A Future Without Rubbish and Planet Earth Games. This activity not only brings people together for collective action but also enables immediate, tangible improvements to local environments. By combining environmental cleanup with physical activity, plogging supports both community well-being and environmental sustainability.

Four exceptional British athletes have the opportunity to represent Great Britain at this prestigious event. Their participation not only highlights their commitment to reducing pollution but also serves as a catalyst to inspire others—especially young people—to take action against plastic pollution.

  • Luke Douglas-Home (London), the driving force behind The Coastline Runner initiative, will compete for the second consecutive year.
  • Cherrelle Amo (Brent, London), a plogging enthusiast, is known for her dedication to environmental activism.
  • Chris Broadbent (Bovey Tracey, Devon), the mind behind Planet Earth Games, leads the effort to merge fitness and climate action.
  • Claire Petrie (Bristol), who combines her passion for fitness with a drive to clean up our streets and parks.

We are raising funds to cover the plogging expenses, which allows the GB team to spread their message and inspire more individuals to join the fight against plastic pollution and dliver ongoing plogging sessions in the UK. Your contributions will help with:

  • Low Emission Transportation: The team is committed to reducing their carbon footprint by traveling via trains and buses to Genoa.
  • Event Expenses: Covering costs during the event.
  • Necessary Gear and Equipment: Ensuring our athletes have the tools they need to succeed.
  • Plogging event costs such as equipment, insurance and co-ordinator training
