Winter can be brutal, especially for those who are already struggling. At Goods For Good, we’re committed to ensuring no one has to endure the cold without the essentials they need to stay warm, safe, and comfortable. This year, we’re focusing on elderly individuals and children—those most vulnerable during the harsh winter months.

Why It Matters

Reduced winter fuel payments, rising child poverty, and the increasing cost of living are forcing many families and elderly people into impossible decisions: paying bills to keep warm or risking bailiffs at the door, buying food or skipping meals. Families in temporary housing struggle to provide even the essentials for their children, while elderly individuals are left without adequate heating, warm clothing, or support.

Children are going without proper winter gear, making it harder to stay healthy, participate in school, or enjoy outdoor play. Meanwhile, elderly individuals, often isolated, face cold days and colder nights, vulnerable to illness and despair.

This winter, our Give a Gift for Good appeal will provide vital support, including warm clothing, shoes, and bedding, to thousands of people who need help the most.

How We'll Use the Funds

Every donation helps us deliver essential items to those in need. The funds raised through our Aviva campaign will be used to:

• Source essential warm winter items:  We'll access warm coats, hats, scarves, gloves, and thermal clothing for both the elderly and children from the community. Our corporate partners will provide us with their surplus stock such as Uniqlo's Heattech products
• Source and distribute footwear:  We'll provide sturdy and weather-appropriate footwear to protect against the cold and wet conditions.
• Partner with Local Organisations: We'll collaborate with community centres, shelters, and schools to identify those most in need and ensure efficient distribution of goods.
• Raise Awareness:  We'll use this campaign to raise awareness about the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals during the winter months and inspire others to take action.

This year, our Give A Gift For Good campaign aims to transform the spirit of giving into a powerful source of support for vulnerable children and the elderly. By uniting the efforts of our community and corporate partners, through donations of funds and essential goods , we can bring hope and essential assistance to those who need it most during this critical time.

• £25 ensures an elderly individual has a warm coat to wear this winter.
• £50 provides a family with warm bedding and clothing essentials.

Aviva will match every donation up to £250, doubling the impact of your generosity.
