Up-skilling 600 young people from under-represented backgrounds so they can launch careers in the digital economy.

by Rob Jackson in London, England, United Kingdom

WYK runs free to access skills bootcamps that enable young people from under-represented backgrounds to launch careers in digital, marketing & technology.

We're running a Crowdfunder Campaign to support our efforts to train 600 young people in 2025. Every penny donated will go towards supporting our participants in gaining access to the digital economy.

  • Over half of our participants come from the two lowest deciles in the Indices Of Multiple Deprivation (a measure which evaluates how deprived a area is).
  • 73% of our trainees are from minority backgrounds
  • 56% of our trainees are female
  • 17% report some form of support need
  • The average starting salary for one of our trainees is over £25k per year

The fund has been matched by The Aviva Community Fund, meaning that every pound donated will be doubled by them!
