Create a community growing and composting project to produce our own food and reduce food waste
Energy bills are killing our Isle of Skye community hub.
We are a small community in the Sleat peninsula in south Skye that has fought back from depopulation to build a modern community hub and boost our population to its highest since 1945.
Punishingly high fuels bills - £30,000 in 2023 - put that at risk.
Camuscross and Duisdale needs your help to keep our community revival alive.
We urgently need £20,000
For every £1 you donate, Aviva Community Fund will match a single donation per donor, up to £250 per individual donation. So, if you donate £5, it becomes £10. If you donate £250, it becomes £500. Any donations over £250 will have a flat £250 contribution from the Aviva Community Fund. Remember to choose a reward!
If we can raise £20,000 we can:
If we can raise £25,000, we can
Our beautiful, big community hub, built in 2016 has a shop, PO, café, community hall and meeting room, outdoor children’s play area, EV chargers and a 5-berth campervan site. It employs 7 full time equivalents and puts over £400,000 into the local economy annually.
Our hub is vital for folk of all ages, it keeps us connected and protected and we welcome visitors from all over the world.
This project offers rewards in return for your donation.
