Extra funding will enable us to provide therapy to more people as well as provide additional support to those accessing our services.

At Creative Minds it is our mission to work in partnership with the community in order to provide an accessible service that aims to improve the mental health and well-being for anyone who needs support. We are a small team of experienced and junior counsellors, neurodiverse counsellors, student counsellors, and wellbeing assistants. We are proud to have developed a creative service which combines talking therapies, creativity, and holistic techniques to ensure each session is unique to each person and tailored to everyone's individual needs.

With the funds raised from Aviva we will be helping people who are struggling with their mental health due to the Cost of Living Crisis we are currently facing and other financial situations people may be experiencing. We will use the money to offer free counselling to help give people back the confidence and resilience needed to get through this tough time and help people to cope with the challenging emotions caused by this current situation we are dealing with. We will give people a safe space for people to voice their concerns, tell us the worries they are facing and feeling and provide professional advice on how to manage those feeling and sign post to other organization that can offer specific support for financial help. We have seen a huge increase in referrals to our mental health services in recent months, many struggling with spending habits or financial difficulties- we can help people get to the bottom of their financial situations and the deeper causes of spending habits; for example neurodivergent people can often struggle with impulsivity and this can include spending, we can help manage these triggers through our therapies.

We have found that many  people often feel they have no way out,  we want to put a stop to this and help prevent suicide by providing much needed support.
