Project Seagrass is a global facing environmental charity devoted to the conservation of seagrass ecosystems through scientific research, community engagement and action on the ground. All of our work rests on these three pillars and supports our aim of saving the world’s seagrass.
We feel very strongly that community are a key part of saving the worlds seagrass and we won't achieve this without them. However, we recognise the need to do more to make our practices more accessible to ensure everyone is connected to nature. We are a part of nature, not apart from nature.
We would like people from all backgrounds to consider a career in conservation. To improve accessibility and inclusivity amongst harder to reach groups and promote involvement and volunteering. Funding would provide engagement tools, marketing, equipment, transportation and/or accommodation to enable everyone to volunteer.
Funding would be spent on engagement tools, marketing to the right audiences, providing equipment, transportation and a food budget and/or accommodation to enable people to volunteer with us, regardless of their situation. This may also include equipment that enables less abled people to access the beach and/or enable ways to bring the seagrass restoration process to other locations.
