The Youth Zone's principle activity is the provision of high quality youth and play services seven days a week which can be accessed by young people from North Manchester. We aim to ensure that all young people touched by the Youth Zone are able to make a successful transition to adulthood.

0At Manchester Youth Zone (MYZ), we work with over 4000 young people aged 8-19 (and up to 25 with additional needs).
Our iconic building provides a base for exciting and stimulating learning which introduces new experiences, develops self-confidence, builds healthy relationships and prepares young people for independence. Increasingly, we run targeted projects to engage and support those young people facing particular challenges such as being excluded from school, at risk of being drawn into serious and organised crime, or suffering from poverty. The area in which we operate is ranked as one of the UK’s most economically deprived areas, with some of the highest levels of unemployment, benefit dependency and food poverty. We have around 1000 visits from young people each week and it is our aim to ensure that they do not fall victim to their environment but to raise their aspirations so that they go on to thrive and prosper.
Our mission is clear: to inspire and support every young person in our community to lead healthier, happier, and more successful lives in a safe, welcoming environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.
