The MCT is a small, community-focused charity dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals and families through the provision of welfare rights advice, workshops, and community projects. Our mission is to empower and support vulnerable populations, ensuring they have access to the resources and knowledge needed to improve their quality of life.

  • In the past year, we have assisted over 750 individuals in understanding and accessing their welfare rights, resulting in increased financial stability and reduced stress for our beneficiaries.
  • Our workshops have provided essential life skills to more than 200 participants, with many reporting improvements in their employability and overall well-being.

Beyond facilitating external organisations, we also run:

1 -Friendship Groups – Helping combat loneliness and isolation, helping to build community cohesion and getting to know your neighbours.

2 -Art Class – Gaining new skills, expanding on creativity and freedom expression through art.

3 -Computer Classes – One to one mentoring tailored to individuals aims and objectives. Ensuring no one  gets left behind by technology.

4 - Adult Learning – Maths and English classes aimed to upskill members of the community to build confidence and help gain qualifications to enhance work opportunities.

5 - Crafty Potters Arts and Crafts – Our adults with learning difficulties class is extremely popular with our community, so much so we had to put additional days on to keep up with the demand.

6 -Ashleys DIY Class – Back to basics. This class gives everyone the opportunity to learn how to do basic DIY from wallpapering to building a bird house from tiling to doing skirting boards and much much more.

Alongside all these programs we run a drop-in Welfare Rights Advice offering a welcoming space where individuals can seek guidance on their welfare rights, including benefits, housing, and employment. We are dedicated to provide personalized assistance, ensuring that those in need are well-informed and can access the support they require.
