We want to use renewable energy to become as near to 100% off grid whilst lowering the costs to our organisation.

Midway FC have been in existence since 2002 and for years have sought to obtain our own pitch so we can make the training and game experience better for all members. We can also bring in more teams to offer health and mental well being to more people. We believe all players should be given a chance.
Over the years we have had teams for juniors at all levels, men, ladies and veterans (Over 40s). We also held disability football sessions.
We currently have 2 men's teams, 1 junior team and a veterans team but having recently secured a long term lease we are developing a park to have changing facilities, machinery storage and pitches that are safe to play on. This could now allow us to expand our club again and bring more teams into the club, which will be for all of the community.
We now need to look at our energy use and whilst we have just been connected to the grid we want to become more efficient and install solar panels and batteries to power our facilities.
By bringing in these panels we can become greener and lower costs that we can then spend on the pitch maintenance and upkeep.
We would like to run floodlights to widen the pitches use and this power, along with LED lights would help keep us environmentally friendly.
Electricity is the only power source on the field as we use this for heating, lighting and power and as low users with batteries installed we hope to become 100% solar powered.
