  • Who are we?

The Mills Hall is a wonderful community hall that provides a warm and welcoming space for locals and groups ranging from crafts, food bank, theatre, music, fitness, pensioners & environmental clubs and of course every celebration that you can think of. Our brilliant stage and facilities have seen many a Panto or show over the years.

The hall is a registered charity with local trustees to keep the hall up and running for everyone but it is an old Cornish building that needs a bit of help in making it more energy efficient to reduce its impact on the environment but also costs in a time of increasing bills.

  • Why do we need help?

The plan is a simple one...do everything we can to achieve this goal! This includes changing all the lighting to LED fittings, install radiators and a heating system that can be more efficient than the old bulk gas supply familiar to rural Cornwall with the possibility of solar panels for the electrical supply if we exceed our initial target.

The plan is to revamp the old bathrooms to more energy efficient water saving systems and some thermal insulation/barrier to the stone walls. Finally replacing some windows that have seen better days.

Everything we do as a Trust is to better the facilities of the hall for the people that use it and the community events we put on as a charity. To this end, we would be extremely grateful for any contribution to our cause to ensure that this Cornish building can continue to be the central village gem that it has been since 1934!
