Oasis Community Church and Gardens has become a place where over 30,000 people visit annually.  Oasis works through over 35 projects, groups, activities and interventions to provide free health and wellbeing solutions to many people around the Bassetlaw area.  Oasis Transform wants to bring together many of our projects to weave packages of care and support to those of all ages in need.  We provide practical help through food parcels; practical help in times of crisis;  befriending projects for those who are isolated and lonely;  skills training for those unemployed and unskilled;  counselling and talking therapy for those suffering mental health needs;  Recovery cafes and drop ins;  Creative therapeutic  projects; suicide prevention work; Crisis interventions.  

People are referred to us or self refer and access our projects at different points and places but then they can access a range of other projects, groups, relationships, care and support to improve their lives and their health and wellbeing.  This funding will help us with a strong financial poverty support aspect.

We will use the money to support this ‘umbrella’ project providing people with a wide range of care solutions to try to make a real difference to individual people and groups.  This funding will give practical help; support financial wellbeing recovery work;  health and wellbeing projects; support ways of improving people’s lives practically;  giving people a place for recreation and learning;  a safe place to belong to.  Through all these different support projects we believe that we will be able to bring help people to transform their lives and in doing so transform the community little by little.
