Fancy some green energy with your ice-cream?
The fabulous Our Cow Molly farm in Dungworth and Sheffield decarbonisation community interest company SY Ecofit need your help to transform the farm, helping to reduce its emissions and move towards ‘net zero’ whilst also generating clean energy that will be used to power and decarbonise Sheffield. All whilst the farm continues its business as usual producing milk and icecream.
From dairy farming tours to ice-cream selling and school visit host, farmer Eddie Andrew makes sure the farm is loved by the community. It’s the only Sheffield dairy farm bottling and delivering its milk – and SY Ecofit are helping transform the farm site into a green energy producer though a wind, solar, anaerobic digestion and green hydrogen project – which will all be community owned.
It’s the biggest singular community energy projects in the region. Ever. It’s ambitious. It’s innovative and it can only be delivered with a lot of energy from a very good team.
Be part of the team that helps get this project delivered.
We are planning to issue a community share offer in the Autumn to raise the capital needed to get the first phase of the project installed.
This fundraiser will help us with the legal and set up costs, making sure we can do everything that’s needed to get the project up and running… All whilst the dairy farm continues to deliver its delicious milk and ice cream to the people of Sheffield!
