0Help Potential Plus UK Survive the Funding Crisis
Potential Plus UK is facing a critical moment – and we need your support to survive.
Right now, the entire charity sector is in crisis. With the cost of living rising, fewer people are able to donate, and many funders are reducing or winding down their grants. According to CAF UK Giving, only half the number of people who gave last year are continuing to donate. Those who do are often having to give more – and that burden is growing.
We know it’s hard out there. But for us, and for the families who depend on us, this situation is becoming urgent.
Why This Matters
Potential Plus UK is the only charity in England dedicated to supporting the needs of children with High Learning Potential and those with Dual or Multiple Exceptionalities (DME).
For 57 years, we’ve been a lifeline for families – helping children who are bright, complex, and often misunderstood to thrive at home, at school, and in life. But now, we are under real threat. Without additional funding, we may not survive this crisis.
What’s at Risk?
If we close, families will lose access to:
- In-depth learning and needs assessments
- Specialist advice from experts who understand HLP and DME
- Connection with a like-minded community
- Tools and strategies to help children thrive
- A strong voice advocating for your child
- Enriching events, workshops and learning opportunities
- Personalised support when you need it most
- National leadership in HLP and DME awareness
These are services not available anywhere else in the same joined-up, expert way. For many families, we are the only organisation that truly understands their child’s needs.
How You Can Help
We’re asking for your help – whatever you can give. As little as £5 from each member of our community could make a powerful difference.
Your donation will:
- Help us keep our expert services running
- Ensure we can continue to support families in crisis
- Sustain our vital assessments and advice
- Protect the future of our 57-year legacy
If you believe in the value of our work, please act now. Help us be one of the charities that survives this crisis – so we can continue to champion the children who need us most.
