We are a Scout Group in Droylsden, Manchester. Our volunteers support the local community, providing an active, safe and low-cost program for young people (5 - 18).

We own our hut and use it regularly for section meetings where our volunteers run activities and games for the children. Our facilities have to provide what's necessary for all users of the hut, but some are now very old and in need of replacements/refurbishment.

The kitcen is in need of such replacement/refurbishment, including the cupbards, flooring and white goods. The money raised here will go towards making the kitchen fit for purpose again so that we can use it to teach the kids about cooking/baking healthily and within a budget.

Alongside this work, we are creating a "Grow Your Own" garden area in the field at the back of our hut. This will enable us to grow healthy food on-site with the kids, which they could then cook.
