More funds will mean more equipment - and more opportunities to lay on activities.
For instance - activities for children to take pictures requires digi-cameras, printer/copiers, software, paper, laminated sheets & ink etc, totalling £5150
Who are we and why are we busy?
A small team of all-age volunteers with the interests of the community at heart, sharing our skills and enthusiasm to conserve our heritage for a flourishing future. Here are examples of some of the rare and common natural beauties to be found in the churchyard.

What are we doing and where?
Our team is working hard to maximise the potential of a 7.5 acre churchyard which surrounds a 13th century church, which has been an iconic landmark for generations in this small seaside town. We are seeking to share both the natural and built heritage with a much wider audience by organising interesting and conservation-friendly activities, such as churchyard trails, bat-watching and hedgerow planting.
We are preparing for climate change with volunteer eco-champions maintaining the churchyard, via an Environmental policy to focus on sustainability & enhancing the environment. We intend to prevent and protect against the impacts of climate change with a green budget to offset carbon, waste management, energy innovation. We shall promote health & well-being with cleaner transport & travel, sharing botanical & wildlife knowledge via a local(national leader) naturalist advisor. We will carry out annual monitoring.
How will we spend the funds raised?
Funding will cover bike racks, equipment, resources & training courses for volunteers – aiming to encourage green transport (cycling), promote health & well-being by outdoor churchyard activity, preparing the churchyard for climate change through wildlife friendly initiatives, & ensuring a steady supply of qualified volunteers to supervise children and talk about how to lessen the impact of climate change. New signage will be designed to be deployed to show safe cycle-routes to the churchyard.
