Help make a difference and volunteer for this project

Our vision is for an abundance of nature that is protected, cared for and experienced by everyone.

Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust  are one of 46 Wildlife Trusts across the UK, each are independent, registered charities. We were established in 1988 and now manage 15 nature reserves and one nature friendly farm.

By 2030, are aims are that Sheffield and Rotherham will have:

  • 30% of land and water that is great for nature.
  • 1 in 4 people taking action for nature.
  • Everyone within 5 minutes of nature.

You can help make Sheffield and Rotherham an amazing place for both wildlife and people! By spending a day at one of our nature reserves you'll be:

  • Improving habitat for wildlife; including threatened species such as water voles, curlew and nightjar.
  • Improving accessibility so that our local community can access green spaces to connect with nature.
  • Improving your own wellbeing and skills by spending time outdoors with colleagues.
