To expand our current women only service to reduce the large waiting list we have. To increase women's financial resilience.
Project by YSS
We currently have funding to provide 11 hours of support to women in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and Shropshire and we are looking to secure additional funding to expand our service.
The Chrysalis service aims to empower vulnerable women to achieve financial resilience, independence, and holistic well-being through tailored, long-term support. We provide weekly, one-to-one sessions, with a trained case worker, focusing on practical and emotional needs to help women overcome barriers, build confidence, and develop sustainable skills for the future.
Our primary aim is to support women in managing financial challenges, including budgeting, debt management, and accessing appropriate financial resources. By equipping them with the tools to navigate their economic circumstances, we help them achieve stability and independence.
Chrysalis addresses the complex needs of women who often fall through the gaps of statutory services, offering a safe, judgment-free space to access advice and develop strategies for personal and professional growth. This includes improving mental and emotional well-being, building parenting skills, and supporting transitions into employment, training, or education.
We aim to reduce reliance on services by fostering resilience, enabling women to regain control over their lives, and connecting them with community resources to build long-term support networks.
Ultimately, Chrysalis seeks to provide a lifeline to women across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, Worcestershire and Herefordshire, empowering them to overcome challenges, achieve financial independence, and thrive as confident, self-reliant individuals.
