On the 13th December 2024 we'd raised £910 with 15 supporters in 70 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
In today’s fast-paced digital world, the ability to connect online is not just a luxury; it's a necessity. Education, job opportunities, and even social interactions increasingly rely on technology. Yet, for many individuals across Wiltshire and beyond, this digital realm remains just out of reach. At Wiltshire Digital Drive (WDD), we're on a mission to change that narrative by 2030, one laptop at a time. Our commitment to refurbishing and redistributing second-hand tech signifies more than just environmental stewardship—it's a beacon of hope for those on the wrong side of the digital divide.
That's why we have launched our "Sponsor a Laptop" initiative, aiming to refurbish over 550 laptops in 2025 with the help of our community. For just £45, you can sponsor the refurbishment of a laptop, directly impacting someone’s life by providing them with the essential digital access they need to thrive.
This campaign is not just about opening doors to education, employment, and connections that many of us take for granted. It's about tackling the UK's growing e-waste problem and protecting our planet. By refurbishing 550 laptops we will be saving 158,000 KGs of carbon reduction, 600,000 KGs of resource preservation, and 95000000 litres of water.
This project offers rewards in return for your donation.
