Rebuilding Lives After Brain Injury, enabling brain injury survivors to stay connected during Covid-19 social isolation.

 New stretch target

The extra money will help pay for our activities to continue for longer, for up to a year.

We take a fresh and exciting approach to brain injury support. Our work engages brain injured people within the wider community in a way which invigorates, motivates, and rehabilitates.

We aim to enable those affected by brain injury - Silverliners - to rediscover a sense of purpose, direction and meaning as well as educating the public to the plight of those affected. Our conviction is that our objectives can be achieved through supporting purposeful projects, challenges and activities which benefit both the individual and the wider community.

During this time of social isolation due to Covid-19, we need to keep in contact with our community more than ever and yet we have had to put all of our face to face projects and activities on hold.

In response, we want to support Silverliners in all ways by virtual creative means, giving them the opportunity to take part in a variety of arts based activities via video link, such as art, music and sewing groups.

We would like to run these virtual activities regularly so that we can continue to provide Silverliners with the chance to learn new skills and take part in group activities.  It will also be a great opportunity for Silverliners to stay in contact with us and each other during this time of social isolation.

The money we have asked for will pay for specialist therapists to provide online arts therapy to the Silverliners (people with brain injuries).

This fundraising page was originally set up to fund the Serenity Gardens Project, a gardening project we had teamed up with Homerton Hospital to create, an opportunity for Silverliners to give to the community, rebuilding lives after brain injury through helping others.

Sadly the Serenity Gardens Project has had to be put on hold due to Covid-19 and we have adapted the project fundraising  to meet the needs of our brain injured clients during this time of social isolation.

Got an idea like this?

Over £200 million has been raised from our crowd to support the projects they love! Plus tens of millions more unlocked by our partners.
