Empowering our community to stand with survivors, against sexual violence, through awareness raising, education, training and campaigning

by Survivors' Network in Brighton, England, United Kingdom

 New stretch target

We're absolutely delighted to have smashed our original target, which means that all your generous pledges are now secure and we will be able to take the first steps towards getting our project off the ground!

THANK YOU!!

From this point forward every single penny pledged will allow us to take another step forward, reaching further into our communities with the information, knowledge and practical tools we need to stand together against sexual violence, abuse and harassment.

Why we need your help...

The devastating scale, prevalence and impact of sexual violence and abuse in our communities means that the number of survivors needing support far outweighs the We know capacity of specialist organisations like ours, leading to devastatingly long waiting times. We know that we can’t continue like this. That’s where you come in!

What we can do together...

We believe in people power and the impact communities can have when we come together to think, act and change. We can’t do this alone.

We know that our towns and cities are full of dedicated, passionate and empathetic people like you who stand with survivors against sexual violence.

This project is all about empowering you and the people you love and connecting our communities to share the information, knowledge and practical tools we need to address this issue.

How we’re going to do it...

Tools and Resources

We will develop a library of accessible online tools and resources, for survivors, their supporters, schools, charities, community groups and local businesses, ensuring that communities have access to specialist resources and support, as and when they need them.

Community, Campaigning, Education and Training

We will design a huge community outreach programme, including events, groups, training sessions, and workshops across Sussex, reaching out through our network of amazing partnerships with the NHS, charities, community groups, local businesses, schools, colleges and universities.

This work will empower people from all walks of life with the support they need to start the conversation about consent with their children, to respond to a disclosure from a friend or colleague, or to practice stabilisation and grounding techniques if they themselves are living with the trauma of sexual violence or abuse.

Together we can stand with survivors, uniting against sexual violence, abuse and harassment, so that no one has to face the impacts alone.

Got an idea like this?

Over £200 million has been raised from our crowd to support the projects they love! Plus tens of millions more unlocked by our partners.
