Local families are struggling to survive the cost of living crisis. Help our foodbank and debt advice services be there for them.
Project by LIVING WELL BROMLEY
The more we raise, the longer we can fund our services.
People in our community are struggling. We are talking to people every day who are having to make heartbreaking choices such as buying food or paying a fuel bill to be able to cook a meal. This is happening all around us. This could be your friend, neighbour, schoolteacher or family member.
We have set up this crisis appeal as more people are coming to us for food than ever, but at the same time donations are falling.
In August 2024 our foodbank gave out food parcels for 1407 people and also served 1213 free hot meals. This need will only increase as the colder weather sets in and people need to find the money for utility bills.
In addition to our emergency food provisions we address the root causes of the issues by providing free advocacy advice on debt, benefit, housing, and homelessness issues. We continue to tackle the growth in mental health illness by offering counselling, our art cafe and a welcoming, safe place to come.
We make sure that everyone is welcomed, reassured, and supported.
Your donation will help us be there for them. You can make the difference.
Who are Living Well Bromley?
We are a community hub based in Penge, southeast London, supporting those in need in local and surrounding areas. We provide people with crisis support in the short term to ensure that no one goes hungry. This is through our foodbank, free community café and weekly free hot meal. For some this is the only hot meal they eat in a week.
