New stretch target
The more money we raise the more plants we will be able to buy and the more woodland we will be able to enhance.
We aim to increase biodiversity in woodland areas within Cotgrave Country Park by planting woodland and woodland edge wildflowers.

The more money we raise the more plants we will be able to buy and the more woodland we will be able to enhance.
The Friends of Cotgrave Country Park are a group of local volunteers committed to improving and enhancing the biodiversity within the park. Our project aims to plant woodland flowers and woodland edge wildflowers to enrich the park and add over 20 species of flowering plant to attract more polinators. We aim to enhance the beautiful views within our park and attract more visitors from the local community to enjoy and appreciate nature. With the support of Aviva and Saving our Wild Isles, for every £1 you donate we get another £2 in match funding! What a great opportunity to maximise your donations, as well as gift aid to help enhance our park!
The Project: We are raising money to purchase a wide range of plants, which will be planted in our woodland areas by our volunteers. As well as pledging money, why not come down to one of our volunteer task days and help us to plant them too! (see our FB page for more details).
What we will do: We will be planting a mixture of bulbs, plugs, seeds and rhizomes, locally sourced within Nottinghamshire. These will include; Wild Daffodil, Wood Anemone, Crocus, Lesser Celandine, Lords and Ladies, Monkshood, Turks Cap Lily, Grape Hyacinth, Wood Sorrel, Wild Primrose, Lungwort, English Bluebell, Wild Garlic, Lily of the Valley, Snowdrops, Wood Avens.
Scope: If we exceed our target, additional funds will be used to buy more wildflowers and increase the coverage within the park.
Thank you for pledging support, and please share a link with your friends on Facebook to increase how many people see our project.
