Youth on the Move has been there for the youth sector for many years, enabling so many young people from the Hackney community to access activities, courses and programs which have built their self- esteem and given them a belief in themselves.  

With the Cost of Living Crisis affecting everyone, but particularly those who were already struggling financially, we have looked for a way to help our users to stay strong and get involved in something useful for their future.  

Therefore, we have created our program 'Young and Wealthy', where the young people will be taking a two year business and financial managements course that will teach them fundamental skills on budgeting, business management and the impact of finance on the economy. This is especially important for these YP who are desperate to break the cycle of poverty, unemployment and low aspirations. This transformative journey involves providing them with an ATHE Level 2 certificate in financial studies, a qualification accredited by the London Institute of Banking and Finance. In collaboration with Mesila, an international organization dedicated to financial empowerment, our project aligns strongly with the goal of building participants' knowledge and control over the economic and financial aspects of their lives, with a specific focus on building and maintaining future careers.

The aim is to encourage the young people to further their education in a subject that will help them in all areas in the future. We want the young girls to feel confident about going into the world once they leave education, and develop into successful members of society.  

Our vision is to see the underprivileged young people from our community getting involved in something that will affect their futures positively and allow them to become thriving and successful members of society. We are working so hard to build the young people, enabling them to see themselves in a positive light, and create a better life for themselves. We are working on breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a new future for them all. 

We will use the funds we raise, solely on this project- to finance the salaries of the teachers, rent costs, certificate costs and all other admin and resources costs.
