Community support

Funding level: Up to £1,000

We are currently raising funds to allow us to replace all of our current lighting with LED lighting which will save costs and benefit the environment. A number of our existing fittings are becoming unsafe and therefore a concern for all hall users, both from the Scout Group and for our external hall users from across the community.

The hall is used on a weekly basis by over 120 young people together with the multi faith groups, sports groups and children's birthday parties who use the headquarters.

Winning the vote would mean that our HQ would be more sustainable and the overall lighting levels will be better for all hall users. We would also install movement sensors for some rooms so that the lights are only on when the room is in use. With funding like this means that dreams can become a reality - without the funding, we would struggle to be able to complete such a project.
