Health and wellbeing

Funding level: Up to £1,000

We’re trying to purchase the following 'Kit'
1) Defibrillator (£380)
2) AUYFC U7s Kit (£500)

We have 87 registered children within AUYFC across 6 age groups (u7s, u8s, u10s, u12s, u13s, u15s). We have eight u7s (six boys and two girls) who will benefit from the new kit. The defibrillator will be kept at Upton where four of our teams play each weekend (u7s, u8s, u10s, u11s which make up 53 of the 87 children). Of course future year groups will also benefit from the above.
We are registered with the Football Association and abide by the FA Respect charter.
Our project success will be the u7s wearing the kit and having the defibrillator on site at Upton. With the 'change' we always need new balls, bibs, nets, cones etc and we would be happy to provide proof of purchase to £1000 total.
My son has played at the club since he was 6 (he is now in the u12s) and he has made friends for life. The coaches and parents are huge supporters of the club, holding many charity fundraising events. I can't get £ for £ matching from Aviva as AUFYC are not a registered charity; this is our opportunity to say a small thankyou to the club for giving our kids so much joy. I submit this on behalf of myself and two other Aviva Employees; we all love this cracking little club. Thank you. Jo Thom, Dave Thom & Steve Shaw.

Moment of Pride

I have never come across such a lovely bunch of caring people (coaches, managers, parents, assorted volunteers etc) who are so passionate about the kids. So many selfless people giving up their precious time to make it fun & rewarding for the kids. And we have fun along the way too!
