Skills for life

Funding level: £10,001 to £25,000

Coventry Boys and girls Club will be moving into a brand-new facility in January 2019 which will be at the heart of Coventry City Centre with an emphasis of working with communities and neighbourhoods who are most at risk and in need.

Our relocation is a once in a life time opportunity and will allow us to develop and expand our programme and provision we currently deliver to encompass the whole family. Provide a breath of new opportunities for the poorest and most hard to reach families and people in Coventry. This will be done by delivering health and well-being projects, skills development workshops, training courses, employment skills training, it training and much more in partnership with other providers.

To allow us to maximise the usage of our site we are seeking funding for the internal fixtures and fittings of the building which will propel us to the number one community centre in Coventry. Items will include, Kitchen Equipment and Utensils for our community café, foldable tables and chairs, projects, screens, IT equipment and computers for the learning room, music system, wireless infrastructure, sports equipment, arts and crafts equipment,

The new site will allow us benefit people in a number of ways from improving health, well-being and mindfulness, skills development, employment training, employment opportunities, workshops for elderly, mentoring for young people and youth club provision to tackle youth crime and anti-social behaviour.

Coventry Boys and Girls Club

Moment of Pride

I am proud of this project as in an area where funding cuts are reducing services and closing centres, we are on a trend to deliver a brand-new facility and increase the opportunities and provision for those most in need.
