Skills for life

Funding level: £1,001 to £5,000

Description

Hello. We run a dance school on the outskirts of London.
Last year we started dance and gymnastics classes for children with additional needs - autism, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome etc.
After meeting the children & their families we would love to do more to help them.
We have bought some equipment with our own money but would love to be able to get them some more gymnastic equipment.

Ideally we would like to be able to purchase some specialist equipment from gym nova, which specializes in high quality and very safe gymnastic equipment.

The items we would like to purchase are:
A mini parallel bars set to help with motor skills, these would be especially helpful for our pupils with cerebral palsy. These have a height adjustment so the children can hold on to them and walk along.
An extra mat to go under the bars for safety including a pvc cover in case of any accidents
And 2 benches which would be wider for them to walk across than a beam.

These items would really help out these children in so many ways. All the items we have chosen dismantle easily so we can store them in the hall we hire for our lessons.

Please vote for our project so these lovely children can have the same opportunities as other children.
We are very passionate about our pupils and would love them to have this funding.
Thanks you

Moment of Pride

I am proud of how many children can now attend dance & gymnastics lessons since we started these classes.
I am also incredibly proud of their volunteers who come every week & help them. These 1-1 helpers are able bodied children age 10-16 who are also learning from this.
