Supporting local communities to take action for nature
Applications for this fund have now closed. However, you can still apply to the Aviva Community Fund to get your climate action project funded here.
The UK is home to some of the most incredible species on Earth, but it’s also one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world. We wanted to change that, together. Our £1 million Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund helped community groups across the UK to protect and restore nature in their local area.
How our funding is helping nature in your community
1. Nature restoration – activities that boosts local biodiversity, by protecting or restoring habitats, creating space for nature, connecting green spaces and/or addressing activities that directly impact biodiversity.
2. Nature connectedness and pro-environmental behaviours – action that supports greater connection to nature and promotes pro-environmental behaviours at the community level that will benefit nature.
3. Community cohesion and connection – nature positive activities that encourages collaboration in the local community, by connecting people of diverse backgrounds, generations, and abilities to nature and one another.

Everyone has a part to play
Our wildlife is amazing - but it’s in crisis. Working together, WWF, the RSPB and the National Trust have developed the Save Our Wild Isles campaign to bring nature back from the brink. It’s an urgent call to action for all of us to put an immediate end to the destruction of UK nature.
See how you can get involved to help reverse the harm that’s been done to nature over the last two centuries.
